I use my iPad at Church. I use it in staff meetings. I brought it to the jungles of Costa Rica a week ago instead of my Bible. This thing has altered my life in some pretty significant ways.
In a Unitive interview a few days ago, Shane Hipps said technology is not simply additive… it also subtracts certain things from our lives. I want to press that farther with Neil Postman’s assertion that technology does something more than simply adding or subtracting: it “changes everything“. These technologies and apps and devices change our lives.
